After each session, sight·line displays a results summary tailored to your observation method. Results are available immediately when you stop a recording, and you can return to any past session’s results at any time from the Student Hub.

Accessing results

Results open automatically when you end a session. To revisit a past session, open the Student Hub, find the student, and click any session row — the results slide in as a panel on the right. If you want the full-screen view, click the expand icon in that panel.

From the results screen you can navigate quickly using keyboard shortcuts:

  • Cmd+P — export as PDF
  • Cmd+Shift+C — export raw data as CSV
  • Cmd+N — start a new observation session for this student

Session statistics

Stats shown depend on your observation method for that session:

  • Interval recording — percentage of intervals with behavior, broken down per behavior. A raster grid shows each interval as a colored cell so you can see the pattern across the session at a glance — which intervals were scored, which were not, and where clusters of behavior occurred.
  • Frequency recording — rate per minute (or per hour) and total count for each behavior
  • Duration recording — total time and average episode duration for each behavior
  • ABC data — event totals, antecedent frequency tables, and consequence frequency tables
  • Discrete trial — percent independent, percent prompted, and percent incorrect across trials
  • Peer comparison — target student percentage alongside peer percentage, and the discrepancy ratio

Each behavior is shown in its own row with its own statistics and chart, so you can compare behaviors within a session without switching views.

Session graphs display data points across all recorded sessions for this student. Each behavior gets its own chart row. The chart includes:

  • Trend lines to surface upward or downward patterns across sessions
  • Phase change markers with your condition labels (e.g., “Baseline”, “Token Economy”) drawn as vertical lines separating phases
  • Hover details — mouse over any data point to see the exact value, date, and session notes for that session

Click any data point to jump directly to that session’s full results.

From the results screen, three additional actions are available depending on session type:

  • Compare sessions — opens the comparison screen with the current session pre-selected. From there you can add other sessions to the comparison.
  • Open Write-Up — available for all sessions. Opens the Write-Up Workspace with this session’s evidence rail populated, ready for narrative drafting and citation.
  • Open FBA Workspace — available for sessions recorded with ABC or Narrative methods. Opens the FBA workspace with this session’s data loaded into the evidence panel for detailed functional behavior analysis.

AI analysis

From the results screen, you can run AI-powered analysis of your session data. All AI processing uses the provider you configured in Settings — data stays local if you use a local model.

Available analyses:

  • AI Summary — an AI-written narrative overview of the session.
  • Function Analysis — appears for ABC sessions; AI-generated discussion of possible behavioral functions based on recorded patterns.
  • Contextualized — appears when using a local AI model and the student has clinic context configured; tailors the narrative to the clinical context.
  • Summary — a non-AI statistical summary of the session (always available, no AI required).

See AI setup for instructions on connecting a provider.
