Record. All eight observation methods are in Community, with raw CSV export and local backup and restore. No account is needed to start.
Every trial starts on Pro for 21 days. The clock starts when you activate the trial rather than on install, so downloading it before you need it costs you nothing. No account, no card. When the trial ends you stay on Community until you choose a plan.
AI runs on your computer and works offline. Paid plans need an occasional internet connection to verify your license.
In a database on your computer. There is no cloud sync and no upload. Analytics and crash reporting are both off until you turn them on, and neither ever includes your observations, student information, or anything you type.
You keep it, and you keep the ability to get it out. Backup, restore, and raw CSV export work on every tier including Community, and they keep working if you stop paying, so you can leave with your records intact. Annual plans are refunded in full if you ask within 30 days of the charge.
Sightline runs on macOS 11 or later with Apple Silicon or Intel and Safari 16.4 or later installed, and on 64-bit computers running Windows 10 or 11. On Windows, AI and transcription work with most Intel processors from 2013 onward and AMD processors from 2015 onward, except some low-cost Celeron and Pentium models. There is no Linux version.
